The CAF is an all-volunteer organization, made up of members from
all walks of life. Membership is open to all men and women, age 18 or
older. You need not be a veteran nor a pilot to join the CAF.
Privately funded and totally self-supporting, the goal of our nonprofit,
tax-exempt group is to "preserve military aviation heritage
aircraft in flying condition and to obtain or construct museum
buildings for the permanent protection and display of these aircraft".

Air Force,

Any person may volunteer to contribute, but members also receive
CAF and Unit newsletters and publications, invitations to special
events, discounts and perhaps most exciting of all, an opportunity
to not only help preserve these aircraft but also participate
in their operation.
Any person who is a full member of the CAF (A "Colonel") may also
join the Lone Star Wing. As a CAF member, you can join as many
affiliate Units as you wish, or none.
If you do decide to join the CAF, whether or not you join the
Lone Star Wing, make sure you add to the application that you
were referred by the Lone Star Wing. Each new Colonel that a
Unit "recruits" receives a credit from CAF Headquarters.
If you're not ready to join as a full member of the CAF yet, there
are other membership options. CAF forms and applications are
available at the CAF Headquarters website.
